Poll - Should Online Poker be legal ?
Monday, May 12, 2008 at 06:34AM I was sitting around the house yesterday reading the Sunday paper when I ran across an ariticle in the little Parade section about online poker . The story is a short one, but it's still good to see something in print that's Nationwide about the laws of online poker.
The article is about a bill sponsored by Rep. Robert Wexler (D., Fla.) that seeks to exempt online poker and other games of skill from the UEIGA law. It mentions how much revenue online poker could bring this country in taxes as well . There's some interesting comments on the site as well .
The biggest reason I bring this story up is because it has a poll going that I think everyone who loves poker should vote on. Just click Intelligence Report to read and make sure to vote on the poll .

For sure online poker should be legal, but of course I love poker so you'd expect that answer from me.
There is no reason for the government to go after poker like they have. There are more pressing issues that deserve their attention, and not some people playing poker online.
There is a Rally scheduled for May 15 in Washington state area for anyone that is from around there.
Washington state attorney Lee Rousso recently dropped out of the governor’s race, partly because his legal case against Washington’s ban on online poker was starting to make headway. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for May 15th, and to show its support for Rousso, the Poker Players Alliance has organized a rally for all supporters of online poker to attend.
The rally has already received support from poker players Barry Greenstein and Andy Bloch, both pledging to attend the rally. The rally will take place in Kent, Washington, at the following address:
Maleng Regional Justice Center
401 4th Ave N
Kent, WA, 98032
The rally will take place on May 15th and run from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
